Our Constellation series is an acknowledgement of how our ancestors came to Aotearoa New Zealand.  No accident - our ancestors navigated by the stars!  It is also a greater acknowledgement to Rangi (Skyfather).

The stars played an important role in how our ancestors lived - beginnings and ends of seasons were marked by the appearance and disappearance of certain constellations, they planted, harvested, fished and marked important events by the moon and stars.

We have chosen three major constellations Te Mangoroa (The Milky Way), Matariki (Pleaiades), and Tautoru (Orions Belt) to interpret.
