The Tiki Story
Hine Te Iwaiwa (the Maori deity for childbirth) was gifted the first ever Hei Tiki (Hei Tiki is simply tiki worn as a necklace) by her father Tane. The Hei Tiki went on to become one of the most prized and precious forms of adornment. It was believed that it absorbed the mana (power and prestige) of the person who wore it and was handed down from generation to generation, a powerful and potent symbol of genealogy and future generations to come.

How Do We Make It?
We handcraft each and every Too Luscious Hei Tiki. We create the originals, hand-make our own moulds, mix, colour and pour the resin by hand, then hand finish and polish each piece. Time, care, effort and a little piece of us goes into every piece, which makes each one special.
