Eco Practises

Our ancestors held the belief that the Earth (Papatuanuku) and Land (Whenua) did not belong to us.  We simply had the honour of taking care of it.  Kaitiakitanga - Guardianship.  They took and used only what was necessary for survival and had strict rules and guidelines to ensure that the earth had time to replenish its resources.

We continuously look to our ancestors and heritage for inspiration, and our role in taking care of our environment is not overlooked.  Our families do what we can to ensure we have as little impact on the environment as possible by recycling, having our own organic vege gardens, and making considered choices about what we purchase and where it comes from.

Our business is no different!  Too Luscious jewelry is handmade, in limited numbers.  No Smoky Factories!  Just cool people making cool stuff for other cool people!  Every effort is taken to reduce our energy consumption.  All our products are produced using recycled or recyclable materials wherever possible.  Absolutely every bit of waste is recycled. And we encourage others to do the same!

Too Luscious are members of the Sustainable Business Network.   We are also a part of the Greenfleet programme that helps us calculate the carbon emissions from vehicle and day to day activities, and negate it by planting trees.  Tawa and a couple of our sons just recently spent the afternoon planting trees to support this fantastic programme.

We love knowing that we are doing everything possible to reduce our impact on our environment.  And we love knowing that you get to feel good about buying a product that has been made in this way.  Look fab and get noticed while you save the planet!  How good is that!?!
